#1. Introduction to coffee > Summary |
Course includes:
- How to extend your coffee beans shelve life
- Learn how to tell fresh or expired beans (useful when buying beans)
- Coffee tasting. You get to taste the common types of coffee (espresso, latte, macchiato, americano)
- Basic coffee bean information and tips to preserve your beans`s flavor
- How to preserve the coffee crema to ensure your coffee has a bold aroma
- Tasting/sampling: 2-4 types of coffee beans, 1-4 types of espresso, 3-4 types of black coffee, 3-4 types of milk based coffee
- Max ~5 students per trainer
Subjects this course will also cover:
- Proper way of drinking coffee
- Difference between properly prepared and ill prepared coffee
- Differences in various coffee style (European, Italian, American, Malaysian)
- Basic knowledge in coffee (does not cover coffee roasting)

4. Those who wish to purchase a home based espresso machine
o Class will be conducted in a Cafe environment
o We will only charge a maximum of RM 500 (cost for 5 pax) regardless of the number of people attending. Ex: 5 pax = RM 500, 10 pax = RM 500 (same price). Maximum capacity for the cafe is 40 pax.
Additional info:
1. Coffee lessons will be based on European espresso style
2. Classes will be conducted at the cafe (TTDI,KL); limited to our operational days
3. For offsite classes, you will need a commercial espresso machine with a commercial coffee grinder (used mainly in cafes). Transportation fees will apply for offsite classes, charges vary depending on your location. No refunds will be given in the event of issues/problems with your espresso machine (ex: not configured properly).
4. Although the barista will instruct all safety precaution; the class is to be taken at your own risk (ex: no claims for you spilling milk on your shirt)
